Today is National Random Acts of Kindness day and in an effort to spread kindness, joy, and generosity I wanted to share some fun and easy ways to spread kindness to anyone you come across today.
Random Acts of Kindness
- Cook someone a meal
- Bake someone treats
- Put your phone away during conversations with others
- Do someone’s laundry
- Make someone a playlist
- Give someone a book
- Give someone a hug
- Wash someone’s car
- Babysit
- Dog sit
- Take someone to a movie
- Leave a positive note for someone
- Lend your umbrella when its raining
- Leave quarters at the laundromat
- Pay the bill for the person behind you
- Give someone a compliment
- Give up a good parking spot for another
- Smile at someone
- Hold the elevator or a door open
- Send dessert to another table
- Give your seat up on public transportation
- Give someone a flower
- Take time to give someone directions
- Carry a $5 gift card and give it to someone
- Plant a tree
- Let someone cut in line
- Let someone merge in traffic in front of you
- Keep bags filled with snacks and toiletries to give to the homeless
- Pick up litter on the street and throw it away
- Take the time to write a great review for a restaurant or company you love
- Read or play board games with residents in a nursing home
- Write a thank you note to your mail carrier
- Introduce yourself to your neighbors
- Be empathetic
- Give your boxes to someone who is moving
