Changing our inner voice from negative to positive can definitely take time. There is no immediate fix, however there are many habits you can implement today to take steps towards positivity.
Practice Gratitude
Simply being grateful for everything we have can bring a positive outlook quickly. When we are constantly wanting or comparing to others we live in a negative place thinking about all we do not have. Remembering what we do have that is good and loving we stay positive. List out what your grateful for each day. Journaling is great for this.
Body Language
Have you ever heard “Fake It Til You Make It” or the Superhero stance. The way we hold ourselves can have an affect on our mood and emotions. When we stand tall, open, and inviting we feel more positive.
Smile
Smiling can actually trick your brain into happiness.
Do Something Kind
A lot lately it’s been spread around to do random acts of kindness. Doing something for others makes you happy.
Exercise and Eat Well
When we exercise chemicals are released in our brains that make us more happy, it helps relieve stress, and helps you feel more energized. Eating well also helps by not putting food in our body that weighs us down, grease and fat take a toll and is hard for our body to process. This uses our energy and makes us feel bad. Not to mention gaining weight can make us feel bad as well.
Everyday is a new day and everyday has new situations. Somedays will be good and positive and others bad. Implementing these simple habits can help even the bad days remain positive.
