Once you have changed your habits and have found some positivity. Changing your inner voice is hard but it never is a complete venture. Everyday is work to remain positive. Here are 10 tips to remain positive everyday.
How to remain positive
Find the optimistic view of any negative situation
Look at the good side of things. There almost always is something. It can be hard when situations do not go as planned to look at the positive side of the situation. However, there are often times we find it actually turned out better then planned.
Live in a Positive Environment
Surround yourself with family and friends that are generally positive people. Work in a positive environment. Create warmth and positivity in your home. Separate yourself from things and people that can bring out the negativity in you.
Don’t overreact
Have you ever heard “Don’t make a mountain out of a molehill” when we overreact to situations we cause undue anxiety, stress and worry. Analyze all situations and make sure they are realistically worth worrying about.
Add Positivity to Others Lives
When we help others and do kind gestures for others we feel good. It helps our own self esteem and self worth helping others. This can be as simple as paying for someones food behind you in line. Or simply helping someone pick up groceries they dropped, or picking up litter in the road. It can be so easy to find something simple that helps others.
Don’t Overreact to Criticism
Assume the best intentions in those giving constructive criticism. Listen to what they have to say and analyze the validity of what they have to say. You may take their criticism and advice with a grain of salt but it may be worth hearing them out.
Mindfully Live Everyday
By being present in our everyday lives we can live in the moment rather than worrying about the past or future. We truly can enjoy what we are doing without anxiety and fear. Go through your day in the present moment, mindfully living in the moment.
